This project involved building a grade-separated interchange and widening US 50 westbound from Pueblo Boulevard through Purcell. The project was located on US Highway 50 between the intersections of McCulloch Boulevard and Pueblo Boulevard. Project work included the removal of asphalt mat, installation of drainage items, paving, resurfacing, a new bridge on US50 over Purcell, pedestrian improvements at McCulloch Boulevard, and traffic control. RockSol provided construction management, construction inspection, and as-needed materials testing services for this project. Key tasks for RockSol’s staff included a close eye on traffic control as shoeflys on US50 were used to detour traffic around the existing interchange as the new bridge was erected, as well as maintaining traffic flow along Purcell while construction was completed.
