This design-build project consisted of the design and reconstruction of the I-25 corridor from SH 402 to SH 14. RockSol’s CM team oversaw the reconstruction of approximately 16 miles of pavement from 2 lanes each way to 2 lanes plus a managed lane each way. The work included geometric improvements, wider shoulders, ITS, reconstruction of two interchanges, construction of 16 drainage, roadway, and railroad structures, walls, and a first of its kind bus platform in the center median of I-25. RockSol’s staff were integral members of the project team and were responsible for all phases of work including management (procurement and design/construction), environmental compliance, inspection/testing, and pavement analysis/design. The materials testers and inspectors oversaw all facets of the day to day operations ensuring the Owner was provided a quality product at the completion of the job. RockSol’s environmental staff oversaw all environmental permits and requirements for the project including an individual 404, T&E species habitat mitigation, APEN requirements, stormwater permitting, NEPA commitments, and hazardous materials demolition. RockSol team members were integral in ensuring the project was completed within environmental regulations.
