Quality Management Systems
RockSol is committed to providing technical quality-related services in the areas of environmental management and engineering. An effective, comprehensive Quality Management System or QMS, can ensure an organization’s work is performed in a cost-effective, controlled manner that can be documented and defended. RockSol is available to assist organizations in developing a QMS that incorporates a quality assurance program (QA/QC) with a focused look at customer satisfaction, planning, and integration of quality into work processes. The QMS will be planned and developed in conjunction with the project and is based on generally accepted professional practice and current regulatory requirements.
RockSol recognizes a variety of sources of quality management systems and quality assurance requirements, depending on the specific needs and expectations of your customer base. RockSol can develop a QMS to meet a single source requirement or one that has been designed to reflect a variety of requirements into a single, harmonized source to best meet your business and operational needs. There are three primary sources of requirements that RockSol develops QMS’s to be responsive to:
Nuclear Repositories
- 10 CFR 830.122, “Quality Assurance Criteria”
- American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) NQA-1, “Requirements for Quality Assurance Programs for Nuclear Facilities”
- U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Order O414.1, "Quality Assurance"
Environmental Management
- U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) QA/R-2, “EPA Requirements for Quality Management Plans”
- EPA QA/R-5, “EPA Requirements for Quality Assurance Project Plans”
- ANSI/ASQC-E4-1994, “Specifications and Guidelines for Quality Systems for Environmental Data Collection and Environmental Technology Programs”
Quality Management Systems
- ISO 9001-2000, “Quality Management Systems- Requirements”
RockSol is also available to conduct technical project reviews of existing technical-work products. Our review can evaluate the integrity of results, conformance to technical and administrative requirements, and areas of potential vulnerability of both reports and supporting documentation.
