Materials Engineering
The RockSol Team has four in-house accredited laboratories.
Our laboratory capabilities range from standard soils, concrete, asphalt and aggregate testing to more complex tests needed for the job. Standard testing services offered follow the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), ASTM International (ASTM), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and various state Department of Transportation (DOT) test methods. Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) tests are frequently performed; state-of-the-art methods are also routinely performed.
The team also employs numerous highly experienced laboratory testing technicians who are all very knowledgeable in AASHTO, ASTM, state DOT and other regulatory agency specifications. For Colorado DOT projects, testing per Colorado Procedures (CP) and Colorado Procedure – Laboratory (CP-L) procedures is followed. Our laboratory testing technicians have experience working in state and federal laboratories providing specialized testing for a variety of design and construction phase projects. We are capable of conducting a variety of materials tests, including concrete and asphalt mix design testing. A listing of the primary tests RockSol can perform is presented below. Inquiries about RockSol’s capability to perform other test methods not listed are welcome.
